General Info

The efficiency of Colosal is owing to the combination of the three ingredients:

Butyric acid

The butyric (butter) acid is a short-chain fatty acid, present in natural as a component of the fatty fraction of milk and its derivatives.

With people it is a physiological product formed in the colon as a result of fermentation of food fibres.

Butyric acid serves as the chief source of energy for colon cells (colocytes), it stimulates their metabolism and physiological maturity and plays an important role in maintaining the integrity of the intestinal mucosa. Its presence in the intestines reduces their pH value, thus creating an unfavourable environment for development of pathogen bacteria.

Bifidobacteria

Bifidobacteria are live bacteria cultures and vital components of the intestinal microflora and some of the most important “good” bacteria in the colon of adults and children.

Fructooligosaccharides (FOS)

Fructooligosaccharides are complex carbohydrates or natural sugars that are nearly nondigestible in the human organism. They serve the role of prebiotics because they provide nutrition for the diverse bacterial populating making up human intestinal flora.
